To install the game, mount your CD & run the installer with linux32 from the util-linux package :

# mount /dev/cdrom /media/cdrom
$ cd /media/cdrom
$ linux32 ./setup.data/bin/Linux/x86/setup

No official patch exist for this game, and unfortunately the binary is statically linked with an old SDL, so we are stuck with it and it's bugs

An unofficial solution exist to fix a crash early in the game.

cd <installation-directory>/fakk

./fakk2 -w +set r_gldriver /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/libGL.so.1
